The cottage
A home worth coming back to
Carraig Nua is our largest home — a spacious, modern property set on two private acres of mowed lawn with a sense of peace that is hard to put into words. This is a home built for gathering. Four bedrooms, three living areas, and a deck that invites you to stay outside until the stars come out.
Two of the living areas open directly onto a large deck fitted with a premium Dacor Grill and a generous dining area — ideal for long summer evenings with a large group. One of the living rooms features a gas fireplace, making Carraig Nua just as inviting in autumn and winter as in the height of summer.
The garden and grounds are a genuine wildlife haven. Hummingbirds, Bald Eagles, and Sandhill Cranes are regular visitors. Put on your binoculars and let the wildlife come to you — it's one of those unexpected Door County moments that guests remember long after they leave.

Lovely home on beautifully landscaped lot. Very private. Very very restful. Remote as to privacy but very close to everything in Fish Creek and Sister Bay and beyond. Well worth the cost. Owners very responsive to problems. We had an air conditioner issue on a Saturday. Owner responded immediately with an industrial fan and had a service person out within two hours. Fixed on Saturday no waiting until Monday, as you might have expected, Thanks Martina.
We had a fantastic time at Carraig Nua House. The house was spotless and had everything we needed to relax. The kitchen is well equipped and the grill was brand new. We had plenty of space for our two families. We also appreciated that is is centrally located, so getting to any of the main Door County towns (Bailey's Harbor, Fish Creek, Ephraim, Egg Harbor, Sister Bay) was easy. Martina was extremely responsive throughout the process and made things easy.
This cottage was spacious with big windows and beautiful furnishings and was stocked for everything we needed. It had ample room for our group. Its close to town, Peninsula State Park, where we spent most of our time outdoors and felt remote and quiet when we were at the cottage. The cottage is outfitted to have a great stay and enjoy both indoors and outdoors. The grill and all appliances are in good condition. Would highly recommend this to families or large groups.
